There's a "home" for you at York Habitat. Volunteers are what makes York Habitat For Humanity so special! Without volunteers our homes would be too costly to build and Habitat's mission would flounder. You might consider

  1. Serving on a York Habitat for Humanity committee,
  2. Helping at a construction site, or
  3. Helping us fill (one or more!) of the following needs:
    • Artist or draftsman to volunteer his/her talents in preparing visuals of coming projects,
    • Interviewer/writer for our Habitat newsletter and e-news,
    • Special events helper for 2010 events,
    • Family partners who assist families in the Habitat program fulfill their responsibilities,
    • Family budget counselors to assist families in the Habitat program with financial stewardship,
    • Data-entry volunteer (would like someone who is able to commit to 4-5 hrs/week for at least 6 months),
    • Amateur photographers for photos of current events and projects,
    • "Church Ambassadors" to serve as points-of-contact for Habitat in their congregations
    • Site Hosts to greet volunteers at the jobsites and ensure that paperwork is completed appropriately,
    • Creative fundraisers; people to seek business sponsorships; and people to help with the annual campaign,
    • Clerical help in the office

Every person has a gift to share. If you are willing to share that gift, we have a place for you!
