York Habitat for Humanity announced its continued partnership with the York Cowboys Fan Club. For the second year in a row, the Fan Club held its annual golf outing with part of the proceeds from the day going to York Habitat for Humanity. The golf event, featuring more than 100 golfers, was held recently at Briarwood East Golf Club. The fan club had a long list of sponsors for the four-person scramble event. “There were raffles, mulligans, closest to the pin and hole-in-one contests available to everyone,” said York Habitat for Humanity Associate Director Mark Mattern. “The two best parts of the day were raising funds to support safe, decent, affordable homes built by York Habitat for Humanity and registering golfers for a chance to win two tickets and a bus ride to the Dallas/Washington NFL game at FedEx Field on October 29th.” The trip raffle to the Cowboy/Redskins game raised more than $500 on the day of the golf. The raffle will continue until October 1st, when a winner will be selected.
